today was down right awkward so im glad it is thursday!
awkward
- today at work one of my co-workers announced she was expecting her third child (i already knew.. but she was telling everyone else), another co-worker announced her and her boyfriend got an apartment together and another co-worker announced she was going on a date that night. they all had exciting news and when i was asked, i said nope.. i dont have any news.. so my co-worker decided to announce to everyone i got engaged. haha wow no! i didn't.. awkward! i found this extremely awkward - i got some weird/suspicious looks.
- we had no white milk this morning to put in my tea so i put chocolate milk in.. it was kind of delicious. no sugar needed!
- i'm pretty sure a women at the WSIB thinks i am incompetent and she may or may not report that to my manager tomorrow morning.
- i went to the gym today and locked the car keys in the car. i noticed as soon as i closed the door, they were laying right on the drivers seat! i had to call my dad to come unlock the car to get the keys out.. i don't even know what i would do if my parents were out of town!
- you know when you are trying to walk past someone and they go the same way you are about to go, and then you both decide to go the opposite way and bump into each other again and then you do it again and the cycle continues.. well today at the gym this women and i did this like 6 times and then she proceeded to say lets dance hun and gave me the most awkward hug like thing.. i had no idea who this women was!

- i completed a survey at work today and i got a $10 tim hortons gift card! free coffees!
- greys anatomy is on tonight!
- my friend and i are getting together this weekend and hopefully planning our trip to scotland to visit my sister
- this week went super fast and its already friday tomorrow!

awkward and awesome
awkward:
- showing up for hot yoga and not bringing a yoga mat or towel. we signed up, got a stamp and then left..
- when the strap on my work out top un snaps during a yoga class (that we actually brought our mats to) and the yoga instructor calls me out in front of the entire class to ask if im having any troubles.
- when my hair tangles so much that there is a large matt in it that i can't even hide
- butt dialing someone and leaving a 20 minute message on their machine
- getting a tan on one side of your body (ie.. the right side from sitting in the passenger seat)
- answering your phone and the person on the other line just starts talking and you keep responding until you realize you haven't yet figured out who this person is and whether they even mean to be talking to you

- im over half way done my placement
- the past two days of my placement have been at a new hospital and i love it - the atmosphere is so much more relaxing and it is kind of nice to not be sitting in front of a computer all day
- home made cinnamon sugar giant pretzels (my sister just made)
- there is a starsky's in hamilton!

awkward and awesome
awkward
- guinness was trying to mark his territory on his walk a few days ago.. except guinness doesn't pee like a regular male dog, he squats like a female dog. it was awkward to see him push his butt up against a pole and pee on it
- when you are in a bathroom stall and someone from the next stall (when you dont know them) asks you to pass them toilet paper
- having some women stare at our group for two hours as we were working on proposals for a union/management debate we have to do in class.. literally this women was sitting on a chair behind me, my back was to her and she was staring over my back watching our group the entire two hours.. she would leave for two minutes at a time but she always came back.. i swear she was a spy.
- showing up to an interview wearing uggs.. (i have my reasoning for this.. class from 10am - 2pm and getting the email at 10:45 to come for an interview at 2:15 - but still awkward)

- i got three offers for a HR placements for the coop we need to go in school.. one of the three was one i really wanted.. i accepted that one and im going to be working in a hospital!
- its thursday! still loving the fact that i have thursdays off school!
- i got my exam schedule and i only have one exam on friday april 20th and its the easier of all exams.. meaning i get to go to the death cab concert i've already bought tickets to go to on the thursday night! i thought i was going to have two exams that day..
- red velvet cake ice cream!.. terry bought us some to try for dessert last weekend and it was amazing!

awkward and awesome
its another awkward and awesome thursday and for some reason im super excited about it today. probably because awkwards are more often my favourite and ive got some memorable ones this week
awkward
- walking into turtle jacks (the restaurant) for my work staff christmas party with my friend, looking around for the table they are at. My friend starts walking over to a table and im still looking around everywhere and im like oh! do you see them? i was going to ask the wait staff. and they were right there. right in front of the door! all staring and waving at us
- a 15 yr old boy coming into work and trying to sell me his 1995 samsung flip phone with no battery. he told me its his last one and its a good deal. i looked at him and couldn't help but laugh. i had to turn away and ask my manager to deal with it.
- some girls jacket getting caught on my chair in study area at school.. causing her to kick my coffee across the room (there were no tables, it was on the floor near my chair) and practically fall on my friends chair.. my only thought was "whoa, what just happened..my coffee! i needed that"
- not having my schedule memorized in even the last week of classes (definitely missed a class by accident because i thought it was at 3, not 2)
- trying to get out of the silent area study room at school.. the doors are soo heavy i can only open it enough to barely get my body through (i think people think im incompetent.. im just weak)
- my friend actually telling me he laughs at how awkward i am lol
- trying to get a picture of guinness and i with the christmas tree..

- weather perfect for wearing my new boots and down jacket
- christmas tree is decorated and stockings are hung
- love (like) or something like it.
- guinness's fascination with snow (he eats a pathway for himself before he walks in it)

awkward and awesome
awkward:
- me trying to tell stories. especially when i dont remember all the information.
- a guy in my class making me a cd entitled "christine's mix" and dropping it on my desk during school (-okay i guess the fact he made it is not awkward.. i think the name/dropping it on my desk in the middle of class was awkward)
- commenting about how they should remove all smoking shelters near building in front of someone who smokes..(definitely found out she smokes 10 minutes after i said that)
- friends getting twitter.. now i have to take the link to this blog off my twitter account
- i was told when you are talking to someone its always good to make eye contact.. but if you are talking to someone and you start focuses on keeping eye contact and thinking about it too much it just gets awkward and i think i end up looking away more than remaining contact
awesome:
- going to milestones for my friends birthday, ordering a mocha (because i was driving, no wine) and their credit card machine wasn't working properly... it was taking like 10 minutes. so they said its on the house, dont worry.. sweet! free $4 mocha!
- getting ahead in school work.. im done two of the three assignments i have due next monday and 80% complete on the project due next thursday
- a friend at work is going to teach me how to snowboard this winter! soo excited!!
- santa clause parade and chocolate calendars
- starbucks eggnog lattes and peppermint mochas!

awkward and awesome
awkward:
- standing in line at starbucks and having some random lady take a strand of hair off the shoulder of my shirt and stare at me the rest of the time we are in line..
- i was walking to my friends house, its about 8:30 pm and dark out, and i hear some kids sitting on a lawn laughing.. then this one kid walks up to me, knees bend and arms and head swinging and hes growling/making weird noises (and im pretty sure he was wearing a mask). his friend is laughing the whole time as he keeps following me to the edge and along the edge of his lawn.. lol weird! i looked at him for a second and just kept walking..
- different time at starbucks.. i wait in the line for practically 20 minutes (the campus starbucks is always ridiculous) and i order my mocha (or more specifically tall non-fat, half-sweet, no whip cafe mocha). i grab it and as im about to put the lid.. i spill my drink all down the counter. the girl at starbucks looked at me irritated and threw me a friggen cloth! lol i know it was my fault.. but i think that seems a bit rude. so i clean it up and start to walk away and then i realized how much i really wanted the mocha.. so i went back, prepared to buy another one.. but another lady just ordered me a new one.. no pay.. the really awkward thing is.. the same bitter lady had to make my drink again and rolled her eyes at me when she realized it was for me.
- me public speaking or making any form of presentation
- mosquito bites on your face
- seeing someone you recognize but not knowing where you know them from.. even after hearing their name (trying to come up with a topic of discussion is horrible when you have no idea where you know them)
awesome:
- my boss accommodated my work schedule perfectly for the next two weeks.. 11 hours during midterm week and 42 hours during reading week!
- cheques in mail!
- hanging out with bugs and lily (both 1/2 jack russells, 1/2 pug).. i they are adorable
- pumpkin ice cream with reese peanut butter cups in it (from marble slab)
- i booked a hair appointment for tomorrow at 1! i haven't had my hair cut in so long because ive been growing it.. but it always looks/feels so much healthier when its cut!
- coffee dates with old friends
- got my starbucks reward card (via) so i can benefit from my love of starbucks

-when i have to call customers to tell them the products they ordered are in and i know the person im calling.. but they dont know i know them because all i have to say is "hi this is chrissy calling from nxnw.." im not friends with them or anything.. but i know the name because its rare and i used to go to highschool with her.
- running 30 seconds from my car to the mall entrance while its absolutely pouring rain and then come into work looking like i just got out of the bath.
- naked people
- wearing uggs in september (guilty) and someone commenting on the fact.. "OMG that girl is wearing uggs.. doesn't she know its only september".. yes i know this! im cold. deal.

awkward and awesome
awkward
- a girl at school asked me where the washroom was and i told her it was the first door to the left.. but i think she thought i meant the first door in the hallway and when i looked back i saw her walk into the mens bathroom.. then later i realized shes in my class.. :S oopss
- being so frustrated that you start crying in front of someone you dont know.. (okay this doesn't happen too often but it definitely did on monday when it seemed everything was just going wrong)
- when you met someone in class or something and you have known them for a week and are with them fairly often and you cant remember their name - but its beyond the point where you should be asking their name.. awkward!
- running for a bus.. it sucks when you see a bus pass you as you are walking to the bus stop.. but i refuse to run for a bus..

- im going to see a film at the toronto international film festival tomorrow (TIFF) and im so excited
- homemade peanut butter chocolate chip cookies (with non chunky peanut butter)
- i currently see leaves starting to fall to the ground.. meaning fall is coming!! i love fall (hello apex bionic and close toe shoes!)
- officially made dinner plans with some of my mac friends (some i haven't seen in over a year)
- when people visit you at work with a coffee (or umm pumpkin spice latte.. ;p) in their hands!

awkward
- going to quebec with an adorable puppy (everyone wants to talk to you) and having to say je parle anglais (i speak english) and the french not being able to understand what im saying because of how poor my french is
- at work we have to ask people their phone number and name to start a customer database for them.. when i asked one customer his number he says "shhhh.. not with my wife is here" what?! im asking for the company not for my self.. and if i was asking for my self would you give it if your wife was not there? not cool
- my dog on a leash.. just plain awkward since he doesn't walk properly on it
- taking guinness out in my pj boxers at the hotel at 5am and again at 7am and seeing the same kitchen worker out for a smoke and both times he starts speaking to me in french

- finding out that north face is carrying the jacket i want again this year!.. i didn't get it last year and i heard it wasn't coming back this year but it did! i can't wait to get it
- walking up a hill with my family and my sister points out that walking backwards up the hill works entirely different muscles.. so my family and i walking backwards up the hill as golfers in carts pass us.. awesome!

- hanging out with a male friend and he calls you his girlfriends name.. umm i kind of pretended i didn't hear
- while walking around downtown i almost get hit by a bird .. literally having to move out of its direction of flight before it hit me and after i jump out of the way a random man makes a comment like "scary aren't they".. yes they are! did you not see that bird almost attack me
- planning a bachelorette party - awkward because suggested bachelorette games are awkward
- when you are out for dinner/coffee with someone and the waitress/waiter asks if the bill is separate or together and you dont know
- asking someone for the money they owe you (i mean do i just bring it up or give the person the receipt and hope they get the point)

- guinness had his final puppy shots, rabies vaccine and worm/parasite check and is completely healthy and 10.2 pounds
- bachelorette party for t is pretty much planned! stress relief!
- finding exactly what you are looking for, the way you pictured it in your head.. at the first store

- finding a used bookstore that actually has the beautiful and the damned and east of eden (two books ive been looking for a while now)

awkward:
-walking around the grocery store with fresh italian parsley because my mom sent me to get some and when i get to the cash the lady asks me if i wanted to put it in a plastic bag located near the produce.. ohh was i supposed to put it in a bag?
- my dog has started humping his toys (extremely awkward especially around people).. he needs to get fixed
- sandal tans so bad that it still looks like you are wearing sandals when you have bare feet (not me.. im not tanned in anyway.. but its still awkward)
- asking the lcbo sales lady to get me some boones or real sangria because there is none on the floor.. then she asks if im making a punch out of it.. "no? am i supposed too? i just drink it"
- a friend asking their boyfriend to drive you home when a) you have never met them and b) your friend isn't even going to be in the car

- getting two government cheques in the mail, one hst return and one for some property and energy tax credit.. i dont even think i pay any taxes toward energy and property
- winning a contest at work.. meaning i get to go cave exploring and kayaking for a day with teva in september
- getting a comforter for $36 when its regularly $100
- rachel and brendon going up on the block on big brother
- morning shifts! (i hate working at night)

- a friend asking their boyfriend to drive you home when a) you have never met them and b) your friend isn't even going to be in the car
awesome:
- getting two government cheques in the mail, one hst return and one for some property and energy tax credit.. i dont even think i pay any taxes toward energy and property
- winning a contest at work.. meaning i get to go cave exploring and kayaking for a day with teva in september
- getting a comforter for $36 when its regularly $100
- rachel and brendon going up on the block on big brother
- morning shifts! (i hate working at night)
- making birthday lists

awkward and awesome
awkward:
- randomly i worked at burlington mall twice this week, im used to working in hamilton but burlington was short staffed. as soon as i walked in the store the first time a customer needed help but the other staff were all busy.. the customer started asking me questions and i knew all the facts but i didn't know where the product was so i think she thought i was crazy and left
- working in burlington also, this guy started talking to me in french but i didn't realize so when i looked at him confused he says "i guess you dont know french" and oh i was like "yes i do".. dumb of me, i thought he was speaking a language i wouldn't understand so i tuned him out.. i do understand french i promise.
- my puppy and my best friends dog chloe hate each other
- i went rollerblading with my friend at the bay front on tuesday. i haven't been rollerblading in over 4 years and i looked awkward
- taking guinness for a walk yesterday and some lady starts calling my name, i ignored her cause i didn't think i knew her but then she called it a few more times so i stopped and said hey? she walks up to me and is like ohh i thought you were someone else and of course guinness starts walking towards her and poops on her lawn.
awesome:
- my dad hung a little bell on a ribbon and attached it to the door handle of our back door to try and teach guinness that when he rings the bell we will let him out... well it definitely works, except he also rings it when he wants to go out for a drink of water since we have a water bowl out near the door. instead of walking downstairs to drink some water in his bowl downstairs he chooses the lazy way and rings the bell
- im seeing death cab for cutie in concert tomorrow! im beyond excited they are the most amazing band ever
- i successfully made 75 cupcakes and a small cake to go on the top tier for a wedding (im no professional but im satisfied with the results)
- my birthday is in 9 days! im starting my birthday list
